After a long time using different skin care products as a female Finally tried this cruelty-free brand: The Body Shop! There were loads of different reviews on the internet but the majority of people were satisfied with specific products like vitamin E splash, shampoos etc. Nothing was really out there about less known products. Since we don’t have this brand in here I bought them in Istanbul, and I am so grateful for their great guidance and information on every product.

When I was at store I was dying to try everything there and you know… all those smells, packaging and designs were so tempting but They were a little bit high for my budget (but definitely worth it!) At the first glance I fell in love with the small bottles containing natural/organic shampoos, I took a banana shampoo and while I was checking on other products I figured out there is a shelf for greeneries products like hemp, absinthe, aloe vera etc. All green but different stuff! I had never tried them before but knew that hemp seeds are good for dry scalp and skin… I was more than eager to try… I picked a hemp face moisturizer, a hemp hand cream (which looks like an oil color tube and I love it!), an absinthe purifying hand gel and a tiny coconut shower gel for a friend(you don’t see it in the photo because I gifted her before taking this shot). That shower gel smelled like the purest coconut I have ever smelled I think I’ll buy one for myself next time…
Now about that green family… I absolutely love that face moisturizer… to me it smells like rose water more than hemp but I don’t care really because to my crazy unbalanced skin it works really well! People who are familiar with combination skin know what I mean. You wash your face in the morning and cleanse it then it’s so dry that you feel cracked in less than 15 minutes you can feel the oil melting down your face… in order to avoid that you have to moisturize your skin right after you wash and cleanse(it’s very basic but based on experience it’s different) I have tried different creams, lotions and moisturizer but none could keep the oil balance no matter they were made for combination skins or water based…They were not any good. I’m more than happy to find this treasure and will go for the same thing again and again and definitely will try the body moisturizer this time since I have dry body skin as well ( mainly my legs ) The hand cream was lovely just a little bit more solid, the face moisturizer was really creamy and I feel addicted to its texture also absorbs to the skin in a blink and you won’t feel sticky at all.
All I can say about the purifying hand gel is its magic in a bottle… from that absinthey color to its heavenly smell… oh my goodness… whenever I apply it to my hands just can’t stop smelling my hands over and over…I’m still testing the shampoo and not sure if I like anything about it other than the smell and the texture So I’m not going any further about it
It was a short, basic and personal experience on “The body shop” cruelty free products…
hope it helps…
