The Council is delivering the project "Linking and restoring the fragmented heritage of Granton Waterfront, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½". The project is being delivered with support from and the via the . It forms part of the wider regeneration of .
The aims of the project are to
- Repair and refresh four historic buildings and structures in Granton Waterfront - , / , the platforms of , and .
- Deliver other improvements to the built heritage of Granton Waterfront.
- Improve traditional construction skills in ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.
- Engage the community with heritage via a programme of activities.
The Council is currently carrying out the Development Phase of the project. This includes working with partners to produce the following documents
- Architectural designs for the renewal of the historic buildings and structures in Granton Waterfront.
- An audit of the traditional materials used in Granton Waterfront.
- An audit of traditional construction skills in ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.
Once the Development Phase is complete, the Council will apply for permission to proceed to the Delivery Phase.
