We are responsible for the illumination and maintenance of the city’s public clocks as stated in the Local Government and Planning (Scotland) Act 1982. We look after 27 of the city’s public clocks. Some clocks are in storage due to renovations.
How to report an public clock issue
Report an issue with a public clock by emailing cecclocks@edinburgh.gov.uk stating the name of the clock, location and details of the issue.
You can report problems such as
- chime issue
- lighting issue
- dangerous or loose material from a clock.
